I started in real estate way back in 1980, then progressed into property finance in 1995. In 2001, I commenced specializing in property investment. That was because a mate of mine had taken me to an investment seminar and that blew my mind. I found out why most people should invest, what it could do for them, and some hints to find good investments. He did me the greatest favour anyone ever has done for me and my financial future. Obviously I can’t pay him back as he already knows about these things, but I can pay it forward by sharing the secrets of sound investment with others, in a responsible way.
Since then I have discovered some inconvenient truths about investment:
1.The first of these is that most properties bought in Australia for investment purpose are not first-class
investments.
The next is that most real estate agents are still where I used to be – not really understanding investment well enough to advise on it.
Another is that most companies that act as investment advisors do not select the best property for the particular investor, and would you believe, most people selling investments do not have investments themselves.

OK, that’s not me in this cartoon – I don’t believe that money grows on trees! However, I am qualified in both real estate and finance (and I’m an investor) so I can advise you better than most. My approach is to operate in an ethical manner, only recommending people to invest in what will work best for their personal and financial needs. This means putting in the time and effort to get to know them and their circumstances, so that I can know that I am doing the right thing for them, and this of course is based on the insight you give me into you and your family.
